Our Unique Approach

The science of unlocking your story

At Hesed, the baseline is never just the presenting problem. We look deeper — to the unconscious thoughts repressed and suppressed through Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that continue to shape how you live, love, and work today.

Using Transactional Analysis, we identify the drivers and injunctions formed in childhood. Through Redecision Therapy, we help you cut off generational curses, find closure, and make conscious choices about the life you want to live — not the one your past scripted for you.

Our interventions do not focus heavily on the problems. We empower our clients to rise toward self-actualisation, weaving positive psychology throughout the healing process.

Adverse Childhood Experiences Transactional Analysis Redecision Therapy Positive Psychology Multicultural Competence Self-Actualisation Generational Healing

— Addictions Recovery Singapore

My experience with Jumh has been exceptionally positive. Conversations with him are like speaking with a trusted friend, but with a professional perspective. He has the ability to provide thoughtful and insightful answers to any questions or concerns you might have. His approach is both empathetic and pragmatic, making each session incredibly supportive and enlightening. I highly recommend Jumh; you won't regret having a session with him.

— Alfira

Attending counselling with Jumh has been a pleasant experience. As someone attending counselling for the first time, this has been a surprisingly wonderful experience — counselling is still considered taboo in Singapore's society. Jumh was easy to talk to and made opening up a lot easier. He was able to empathize well while still providing a professional perspective. He provided insights that allowed me to process the situation and find closure, which I am very thankful for. I would recommend him to those seeking counselling as first-timers.

— Sheereen, Singapore

Jumh has been there as I wrestled through my beliefs and emotions. With his seemingly boundless capacity to listen and empathize, and the willingness to also allow himself to be vulnerable, I found myself opening up and being honest, despite my initial reluctance. When I dug in my heels to my beliefs, Jumh dug deeper to understand my motivations. I had never felt judged, rather I felt the genuineness of his wanting to relate to my situation. Jumh also respected my beliefs and yet thoughtfully offered a different point of view. His kindness made me realize that though my intentions were good, unbeknownst to me, the rigidness of how I had gone about it could have hurt others. It was a painful realization, but one I am thankful to have Jumh — thank you for helping me work through my issues, for acknowledging my efforts, for understanding when I fail, and for believing I can be a better person for my family.

— Jaron

I like Jumh's style of therapy. He is able to pace with me and he constantly helps remind me of some of the ways and choices I can take to live my life more authentically. Would certainly recommend Jumh! Thank you so much!

— Dee

I am grateful to have Jumh as my therapist. I feel relaxed after sharing with him my struggles during the session. He listens to my struggles, guides me along the way, and shared with me how I shall resolve the issue. Thank you for being there for me.

— Wee Zhen

Professional services and helpful therapist. Provided me with insights and guided me slowly on bringing my life back to track. Besides that, the therapist also serves as a mentor in showing me the my career direction. I'm very grateful for the service and everything.

— Chenghin

I would like to thank Jumh for helping me find my zen and for clearing my thoughts in my career direction. I find myself more regulated and unbothered by things out of my control. I greatly recommend him as he's been a kind and active listener who does his best to understand the situation I'm in. He's also flexible in his schedule and is willing to cater to night counselling sessions which I have been grateful for.

— Nurul Asilah Salleh, Singapore

Jumh is the best counselor I ever had. His expertise helped and provided me with strong awareness of how essential mental health is. Physical and mental health are way more important than money, so I encourage everyone to invest in your mental health — and Jumh is the right professional that can help you.

— Desiree Toledanes, Philippines

Jumh is such a warm, friendly, reassuring presence. Do not let his youthful innocent looks lead you to underestimate him. He is incredibly knowledgeable and wise. I found him to be very discerning and insightful when it came to seeing into my struggles and helping me address them with confidence. I am very grateful for the ways he helped me in my sessions.

— Shane Kubo, Australia

I am incredibly grateful for the support and care shown by Jumh to me and my family. From the very first session, he created a safe, welcoming, and understanding environment where we felt comfortable opening up. He not only listened with genuine empathy but also provided practical strategies that truly made a difference in our emotional well-being. I feel so lucky to have found him and would highly recommend him to any parent seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Parenting Coach / psychotherapist / counsellor.

— J C

— Desiree

Thanks Jumh, really. I don't have the words to express how grateful I am for all the help you've provided. Who knew I'd find the day that I'd understand my worth. Speaking with Jumh is like talking with an old friend — his energy and graciousness breaks through the formal & transactional tone of most therapists, and yet what truly sets him apart is his experience & expertise: creating awareness, delving deep to explore, and finding meaning in it all to find closure. All of these were what I found lacking in my previous therapy experiences, where I was left with an open can of worms to deal with by myself. Thank you Jumh for guiding me along the entire process, I appreciate it a lot. I recommend Jumh to anyone seeking the most dedicated and skillful therapist who will leave a profound impact on their life journey.

— Michelle

My experience with Jumh, though brief, has been profoundly enlightening. We've delved into my childhood issues, expanded my perspectives, and explored career and strengths coaching. Throughout this journey, Jumh's relatable nature and boundless energy have been a source of encouragement for my weary soul. He provided the space and support I needed to clarify my life's direction with gentle reminders and thoughtful guidance. For these reasons, I highly recommend Jumh and the exceptional work he does.

— Mark

Jumh has helped me work through my traumas with my previous relationship, and to see how my thoughts and actions were actually linked to my troubles at home when I was younger. Working through this and getting closure for myself was the best outcome from the therapy sessions, through understanding and healing.

— Kim Jisu

I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I received from my psychotherapist, Jumh. When I first started my job, I felt overwhelmed with stress and had completely lost my confidence. I was unable to speak up or express myself, and it was affecting both my work and well-being. Through counselling, Jumh helped me understand the root of my struggles and taught me effective coping strategies. Today, I am a confirmed staff member, and my confidence has grown immensely. Thanks to the techniques I learned in therapy, I am now able to manage stress and communicate with clarity. I truly appreciate the positive impact this journey has had on my personal and professional life.

— Tiong Meng Ping

It is always helpful to chat with Jumh. He used different modalities and techniques to help me understand myself better, figure out my issue, and find solutions. He is also a very nice and polite person.

— Xin, Hong Kong

I found him by chance during a period of major life changes and multiple interpersonal challenges. Through our sessions, he gently helped me understand myself more deeply, including my patterns, my past, and parts of my childhood that continue to shape my future. I truly appreciate his kindness and support, and I highly recommend his counselling.

— Michel Fang

This is a public letter of gratitude for all the help you have given! Your in-depth knowledge in Transactional Analysis is exceptional — exceptional enough that I've hoarded TA ebooks I have yet to read. The therapeutic alliance was strengthened because you successfully blended your technical skills as a therapist with your character as a human being. All in all, what I appreciate most is how you truly listened. We may not speak the same language, but we speak the same jargon, and it worked. Cheers to all the lives you have inspired, and here's to hoping for a brighter future!

— Shareena Manaig

Managed to uncover many unconscious patterns in myself through sessions with Jumh — patterns in my relationship with others and in myself, and the reasons why I act a certain way when a specific event or situation arises. Healing from my past hurts and wounds through his sessions also gave me a true sense of relief and freedom. Gaining back my own power to choose how to approach life has been my greatest blessing through my sessions here with Jumh. Other than helping me see my patterns, Jumh was also a great coach, helping me with my future goals and in discovering my own character strengths. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jumh — he has helped me far more in my growth and healing journey than all the self-help books and experiential healing courses I've been to. In the beginning I had some reservations towards psychotherapy and counselling, as my previous encounter wasn't really what I felt fit me. My sessions with Jumh, however, were exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend.

— Jiali Woon

Highly recommend Hesed counselling sessions. Had sessions with Jumh — he was understanding yet patient with me, and was really careful to be aware of my needs and skillfully helped me navigate through it. Please engage him if you're looking for someone with the right attitude and skills for counselling and therapy.

— Meg Teo

Got to know Jumh shortly after I started working, and our sessions really helped me navigate the transition into my new role, while also helping me with issues in my personal life. Very easy to talk to and gives really sound advice! Highly recommended.
